Telegram is home to thousands of trading signal channels. Crypto groups, options alert channels, stock pick communities. The problem is the same as Discord: you get a notification, read the signal, switch to your broker, and by the time you enter the trade, the entry price has moved.
TradeLabs solves this by monitoring your Telegram channels through the companion desktop app. When a Telegram trading signal comes in, the AI parses it and routes the order to your broker automatically.
Why Telegram for Trading Signals?
Telegram has become a major platform for trading communities alongside Discord. Here's why many signal providers prefer it:
Telegram channels support unlimited subscribers. Signal providers can reach their entire audience without server limits.
Telegram's message formatting makes signals easy to read. Many providers use consistent templates with bold headers and structured layouts.
One-way broadcast channels mean less noise. Only the provider posts signals, so the AI doesn't have to filter through chat messages.
How TradeLabs Handles Telegram Signals
The process is identical to Discord automation. The TradeLabs companion app monitors your connected Telegram channels and routes signals through the same AI parsing pipeline:
How the AI Parses Telegram Signals
Telegram trading signals come in many formats. Some channels post clean, structured alerts. Others use free-text style. The AI handles both:

Telegram vs Discord: Both Supported
Some traders ask whether TradeLabs works better with Telegram or Discord. The answer: it works the same way with both. The AI parsing layer is identical. The only difference is how the companion app connects to each platform.
Most TradeLabs users monitor both Telegram and Discord channels simultaneously. The companion app handles both at the same time.
Setup Guide
Connect Telegram
In the TradeLabs companion app, add your Telegram channels. You can connect to any channel or group you're a member of.
Link your broker
Connect your brokerage account: Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Tradier, Charles Schwab, or Phantom for Solana.
Set trade parameters
Configure position sizing, stop loss rules, and daily trade limits. Your settings apply to all signals from that channel.
Test with small positions
Start with 1 share or 1 contract to verify parsing accuracy. Scale up once you're confident the system handles your provider's format correctly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work while my computer is off?
No. TradeLabs is a desktop companion app. It must be running on your computer to monitor Telegram channels and execute trades. Signals are missed if your computer is off or asleep.
Can I use Telegram and Discord channels at the same time?
Yes. The companion app monitors both platforms simultaneously. You can have Telegram channels and Discord channels active at the same time, each with their own trade parameters.
Do I need my own OpenAI API key?
Yes. TradeLabs uses your OpenAI API key for signal parsing. This typically costs $1-5/month depending on signal volume.
What happens with non-signal messages?
The AI distinguishes between trade signals and general discussion. Non-signal messages (analysis, commentary, memes) are classified as "not a signal" and skipped. This works especially well with Telegram broadcast channels where only the provider posts.
