If you trade based on signals from Discord servers, Telegram groups, or TradingView alerts, you know the problem: by the time you manually read a signal, open your broker, enter the ticker, set the strike, and submit the order, the price has already moved. TradeLabs is an AI trading bot platform that eliminates that delay entirely.

The TradeLab bot runs as a companion desktop app on your computer. It monitors your configured signal sources, uses your OpenAI API key to parse natural-language messages into structured trade parameters, and routes the resulting orders to your connected broker accounts. No manual copy-pasting. No missed entries.

What Is TradeLabs?

TradeLabs (also searched as Trade Labs, Trading Labs, or TradingLab AI) is a desktop application that bridges the gap between where trading signals are posted and where trades need to be executed. It's not a cloud service that runs while your computer is off — it's a companion app that needs to be running on your machine to monitor and execute.

Here's what makes the TradeLabs platform different from typical trading bots: it doesn't generate signals or predict market direction. Instead, it takes signals you're already following from trusted sources and removes the manual execution bottleneck. The AI component handles parsing — turning a message like "BUY AAPL 190C 5/16 @ 2.50" into a structured order your broker can execute.

How the System Works

The TradeLabs architecture is a linear pipeline. Every signal follows the same path from source to execution:

1

Signal Arrives

A message is posted in your monitored Discord channel, Telegram group, or a TradingView alert fires.

2

Companion App Captures

The TradeLabs desktop app detects the new message from your configured channels in real time.

3

AI Parses the Signal

Your OpenAI API key powers GPT to extract: ticker, direction, order type, strike, expiry, quantity.

4

Order Executes

The structured order is routed to your connected broker account and executed automatically.

This entire pipeline happens in seconds. From the moment a signal provider posts a trade call, TradeLabs parses it, validates the parameters, and submits the order to your broker — while you'd still be reading the message.

Supported Signal Sources

The TradeLab bot can monitor three types of signal sources. Each works through the companion app running on your desktop:

Discord

Monitor any channel in any server you're a member of. Works with all signal formats — structured alerts, free-text calls, even image-based signals.

Most popular

Telegram

Connect to Telegram channels and groups. The companion app reads messages and passes them through AI parsing, same as Discord.

Growing fast

TradingView

Route TradingView strategy alerts directly to your broker. Build Pine Script strategies and let TradeLabs handle the execution layer.

Webhook-based

Supported Asset Types

TradeLabs handles six categories of trades. The AI parses signals for each type differently based on the required parameters:

Stocks
Options
Spreads
Crypto
Solana Memecoins
Reverse Split Arbitrage

Futures support is coming soon. Each asset type requires different parameters — the AI parsing layer handles this automatically based on the signal content.

Supported Brokers

TradeLabs connects to your existing brokerage accounts. You trade with your own money in your own accounts — TradeLabs never holds funds or has withdrawal access:

Broker Stocks Options Spreads Crypto
Interactive Brokers
Robinhood
Tradier
Charles Schwab
Phantom (Solana)

How AI Signal Parsing Works

The core of TradeLabs is its AI parsing layer. When a signal arrives, the TradeLab bot sends the raw message text to GPT (via your own OpenAI API key) with a structured prompt. The AI returns a JSON object with the trade parameters:

Raw Signal
TradeAlerts Today at 9:31 AM

BTO TSLA 260C 5/23 @ 4.20 — momentum breakout above VWAP, targeting 6.00+ SL 3.00

GPT-4 Parse
Structured Order
action: "BUY_TO_OPEN"
ticker: "TSLA"
type: "CALL"
strike: 260
expiry: "2025-05-23"
limit: 4.20
stop_loss: 3.00
take_profit: 6.00

The AI doesn't just extract obvious fields — it understands trading shorthand. "BTO" becomes "BUY_TO_OPEN", "C" becomes "CALL", dates in various formats get normalized. This is why TradeLabs works with virtually any signal provider's format without manual configuration.

Getting Started with TradeLabs

Setting up TradeLabs takes about 10 minutes. Here's the process:

1

Subscribe and download

Choose a plan at tradelabs.org, then download the TradeLabs companion app for your operating system. Install and log in with your license key.

2

Add your OpenAI API key

TradeLabs uses your own OpenAI API key for signal parsing. Paste it into the settings panel. This typically costs $1-5/month depending on signal volume.

3

Connect your broker

Link your brokerage account through the integrations panel. TradeLabs supports Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Tradier, Charles Schwab, and Phantom wallet for Solana.

4

Configure signal sources

Point TradeLabs at the Discord channels, Telegram groups, or TradingView webhooks you want to monitor. Set position sizing and risk parameters.

5

Start with small positions

Begin with 0.5-1% of your portfolio per trade. Verify that signals parse correctly and orders execute as expected before scaling up.

Requirements and Limitations

Before you start, here's what you need to know about running the TradeLabs platform:

Desktop computer (Windows/Mac)

The companion app must be running on your computer for signals to be monitored and executed. It does not run while your computer is off.

OpenAI API key

You need your own API key from OpenAI. TradeLabs uses it for signal parsing. GPT-4o is recommended for best accuracy.

Funded brokerage account

TradeLabs executes trades on your behalf at your connected broker. You need a funded account with the appropriate trading permissions.

Not a set-and-forget system

Your computer and the companion app must be running during market hours. If your computer sleeps or loses internet, signals will be missed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does TradeLabs run in the cloud while I'm away?

No. TradeLabs is a desktop companion app. It must be running on your computer to monitor signals and execute trades. If your computer is off, asleep, or disconnected from the internet, no signals will be processed.

Do I need my own OpenAI API key?

Yes. TradeLabs uses your OpenAI API key to parse trading signals through GPT. This gives you control over costs and model selection. Most users spend $1-5/month on API calls depending on signal volume.

Which brokers are supported?

TradeLabs currently supports Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Tradier, Charles Schwab for stocks/options/spreads, and Phantom wallet for Solana memecoin trading.

What asset types can I trade?

Stocks, options, spreads, crypto, Solana memecoins, and reverse split arbitrage. Futures support is coming soon.

Can TradeLabs predict market direction?

No. TradeLabs does not generate trading signals or predict market movements. It automates the execution of signals you're already following from trusted providers on Discord, Telegram, or TradingView.

How fast is trade execution?

From signal detection to order submission, the process typically takes a few seconds — most of that time is the AI parsing step. This is significantly faster than manually reading a signal, switching to your broker, and entering the order.
